I spent most of the morning downtown. Click on the picture to see the full size image.

The area under the trees remained green.  We had really warm weather the week before the snow so the grass was real green. snow017.jpg (21319 bytes)The ducks were staying in the water since it was warmer that the air. snow018.jpg (51995 bytes)I had been about 14 years since the last snow where the ground had been covered like this.
snow019.jpg (32981 bytes)This is the east end of the suspension bridge. snow020.jpg (17665 bytes)The red traffic light stood out in the grayish daylight. snow021.jpg (60907 bytes)There was very little traffic but there was no ice on the streets, not even on the bridges.

snow022.jpg (26046 bytes)The river ran slow and quiet. snow023.jpg (24715 bytes).Washington Ave. looked very empty. snow024.jpg (46049 bytes)The fountain and the benches made for a peaceful setting.  Corner of Washington Ave. and University Parks Drive.
snow025.jpg (40173 bytes)Here I am. snow026.jpg (38975 bytes)Some folks must have been out there awfully early to make this dirty snowball. snow027.jpg (38078 bytes)Way down there you can see a snowman.
snow028.jpg (74122 bytes)The tree branches were heavy with the sticky snow. snow029.jpg (35119 bytes)The amphitheater had been visited also.  The folks must have been out there before the snow stopped falling because their tracks had new snow on them. snow030.jpg (99640 bytes)The berries were already out.  This bush had been tricked into thinking that Spring was already here.
